Dentures

Custom-made partial and full dentures to restore your smile, your confidence and your ability to eat comfortably.

Replacing Missing Teeth with Dentures

Missing teeth can affect far more than just your appearance. They can make eating difficult, alter your speech, cause your remaining teeth to shift out of position, and affect your confidence. Dentures offer a reliable, proven solution for replacing missing teeth and restoring both function and aesthetics.

At Fareham Road Surgery, we offer a range of denture options to suit every need and budget, from affordable acrylic partial dentures to premium metal frame and PEEK alternatives. Every denture is custom-made in a specialist UK dental laboratory to ensure a comfortable fit and a natural, lifelike appearance.

Modern denture materials and techniques have advanced enormously. Today's dentures look far more natural, fit more comfortably and function more effectively than those of the past. Whether you need to replace a single tooth or an entire arch, we will find the right solution for you.

Confident smiles at any age

Types of Dentures & Pricing

We offer several denture options, each with different materials, aesthetics and price points to suit your requirements.

Metal Frame Denture

From £1,250

Metal frame dentures (also known as cobalt-chrome dentures) use a strong, lightweight metal framework to support the replacement teeth. They are thinner and less bulky than acrylic dentures, making them more comfortable to wear. The metal framework clips securely onto your remaining teeth, providing excellent stability.

  • Strong, lightweight cobalt-chrome framework
  • Thinner and less bulky than acrylic
  • Clips securely to remaining natural teeth
  • Excellent stability and retention
  • Long-lasting and durable

PEEK Denture

From £1,250

PEEK (polyether ether ketone) dentures are a modern, metal-free alternative that offers the strength of a metal frame with improved aesthetics. The tooth-coloured framework is virtually invisible, making it an excellent choice for patients who want a discreet partial denture without any visible metal clasps.

  • Metal-free, tooth-coloured framework
  • Virtually invisible when worn
  • Lightweight and comfortable
  • Biocompatible — ideal for metal-sensitive patients
  • Strong and flexible material

Partial Acrylic Denture

From £795

Acrylic partial dentures are a cost-effective option for replacing one or more missing teeth. They are made from a gum-coloured acrylic base with replacement teeth attached. While slightly bulkier than metal or PEEK alternatives, they offer a reliable solution at a more accessible price point.

  • Affordable tooth replacement option
  • Gum-coloured acrylic base for natural appearance
  • Suitable for replacing one or several teeth
  • Easy to add teeth if further extractions are needed
  • Can be a good interim solution

Full Denture

£1,450

Full dentures replace an entire arch of missing teeth — either upper, lower, or both. They are custom-made to fit your gums precisely and are designed to look natural, restoring your appearance and your ability to eat and speak comfortably. Modern materials and techniques mean today's full dentures look better than ever.

  • Replaces a complete arch of teeth
  • Custom-made for a precise, comfortable fit
  • Natural-looking teeth and gum-coloured base
  • Restores chewing function and speech
  • Can be supported by dental implants for extra stability

The Denture Fitting Process

  1. 1

    Consultation & Assessment

Your dentist will examine your mouth, discuss your needs and preferences, and recommend the most suitable type of denture for you.

  2. 2

    Impressions & Measurements

Precise impressions and bite measurements are taken to ensure your dentures will fit comfortably and accurately.

  3. 3

    Try-In Appointment

Before the final dentures are made, you will try a wax version so we can check the fit, appearance and bite, making any adjustments needed.
