I am proud to have been part of Fareham Road Dental Practice since 2003, a place that has played a significant role in my professional growth and passion for dentistry. My career in dental care began earlier, qualifying as a Dental Nurse in 1995, and over the years I have gained extensive experience working across a wide range of clinical disciplines and alongside many talented clinicians.

Starting my journey at Fareham Road Dental Practice as a Dental Nurse, I quickly became immersed in the varied and dynamic nature of general dentistry. Working with different clinicians allowed me to develop a broad skill set, adapt to different working styles, and build a deep understanding of patient care across all aspects of dentistry. This variety not only strengthened my clinical knowledge but also reinforced the importance of teamwork, communication, and consistency in delivering high-quality care.

One of the most rewarding parts of my clinical career was working closely with Martin Murray as an Implant Nurse. This role allowed me to develop a particular interest in surgical dentistry, which remains one of my favourite aspects of the profession. Supporting complex implant procedures required precision, preparation, and a calm, organised approach—skills that have stayed with me throughout my career. Being part of transformative treatments that significantly improved patients’ confidence and quality of life was, and still is, incredibly fulfilling.

After many years of clinical experience, I chose to expand my professional development beyond the surgery. My long-standing involvement in the practice, combined with a strong understanding of both clinical workflows and patient needs, naturally led me towards a leadership role. I subsequently qualified as a Practice Manager and have proudly held this position at Fareham Road Dental Practice since 2017.

As Practice Manager, my focus is on ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice while supporting both the clinical and administrative teams. I am passionate about creating a positive, efficient working environment where staff feel supported and patients feel valued, safe, and well cared for. My background as a dental nurse gives me a unique perspective in this role, enabling me to bridge the gap between clinical and managerial responsibilities effectively.

Having worked in dentistry for nearly three decades, and at Fareham Road Dental Practice for over 20 years, I remain as enthusiastic about the profession as ever. Dentistry is constantly evolving, and I strongly believe in continuous learning, development, and maintaining high standards of care. It is a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated team and to contribute to the ongoing success of a practice that prioritises both patient care and professional excellence.
